Childaid Network Foundation - CHARITY SALE

In contempt of difficult conditions in 2020 and with the support from BRAX the Charity Sale for Childaid Networt Foundation was a success. Since autumn 2017, we have been making regular donations of clothing to the Charity Sale for the Childaid Network Foundation for a children’s aid project in Assam/Northern India.

With a great commitment the Childaid Network Foundation supports the education of children in need. In the megacity of Guwahati-Assam with its 94 slum areas, about twenty thousand street children are living under extremely difficult conditions. With the aim of giving these children a chance for a self-determined life through education in preschools, primary schools, secondary schools and vocational schools, the Childaid Network Foundation is working together with a local partner organization to eliminate

poverty and ensure sustainable improvements of living conditions An effective fight against migration into cities and mass poverty in the city! In spite of the fact that Covid 19 broke out in 2020, the Childaid Foundation managed a lot of small individual charity sale events. Together with the donations made available by BRAX and the proceeds from the sale enough money was raised to support 70 children for an entire year.

Together with the donations made available by BRAX and the proceeds from the sale enough money was raised to support 70 children for an entire year.

With the proceeds from the sale of BRAX clothing, the full costs of living of one year can be financed for 12 children. As the pandemic has hit the country particularly hard, we are very pleased that we were able to make a positive contribution by taking part in the Charity Sale for Childaid. It is good to know that Childaid Network was able to ensure that fourty thousand people could be fed at the beginning of the lockdown, even before the government aid started.

Childaid Network offers 200 children the opportunity growing up in a loving and child-friendly environment with regular, healthy meals and the opportunity to attend school. In addition, 35 orphan children of full age are accompanied during their education/studies on their way to an independent life. 50 slum schools with five thousand pupils from the city’s slums are connected to the street children project.
