Our BRAX school class in Bangladesh

Together with our partner organizations 7 STREAMS and ZXY International, we have been supporting our social project > EDUCATION FOR A BETTER FUTURE < since the beginning of 2018. We support an entire primary school class of JAAGO’s school in Rayer Bazar, Bangladesh. By sponsoring the costs of school lessons, meals during school hours and basic medical care for a total of 41 pupils, we are investing in the future of the children from socially very disadvantaged families. Together with our partners, we want to give them the opportunity through education to improve their living conditions in order to escape poverty and better their lives in a sustainable way.

Since the beginning of the project, we have been regularly informed about the progress of each child attending the supported school class. We are pleased that the pupils have developed very positively in the last few years. In addition to this positive development of their skills in individual subjects, such as mathematics, English, arts and sport it is very important that the pupils participate regularly in class. Unfortunately, due to unemployment of the parents for example,

it can happen that the children are not able to attend school to take part in lessons because they start working to assure their family’s livelihood. We are very happy that the majority of our BRAX school class was able to attend classes regularly. For those students who are unable to go to school, due to illness or needing help in individual subjects, the teachers are very involved by offering additional lessons or individual support.

Jannat and Meherun can be particularly proud of their achievements in the last few months. Both girls have completed more than 90 percent of the requirements in almost all subjects and have also always participated in class - a wonderful success!
