With support from BRAX: Charity Sale supports 21 former street children

In March 2019 another charity sale took place for Childaid Network and again we got involved with a big donation. Of course you can find reports on past events and successes here on our CR blog.

With 140 guests, 19 volunteers and – thanks to generous donations from companies such as BRAX and individuals – 665 items sold, 21 former street children of the city of Guwahati in Assam, India, can be supported for a full year.

Meanwhile, many of the children are of legal age. With a 3-year program, Child Aid ensures that young people learn a profession that will later make them financially independent.

In order to be able to support them during their apprenticeship or studies in smaller housing units and shared apartments, the foundation requires 50 euros per young adult and month. The proceeds of the future charity sales should also be used for this program.

The donation from BRAX alone was enough to sustain a whole year for a total of nine children – a wonderful number!
